Plastic bag hider

Are you a hoarder?
Do those unsightly hoardings consist of plastic bags? :D
.
.
Asians families (like mine) don't buy garbage bags from supermarkets. Instead we use the bags you get after a shopping purchase. So we end up hoarding a lot of different sized bags stuffed in another plastic bag and hung somewhere and looking real cheap. '*-*

SO I present the DIY bag holder!
Inspired by some home order granny magazines :)

You can also save the environment by re-using fabric from an old shirt :D And like balance it out from reusing those non-biodegradable garbage bags.

What you need:

• 50 x 60 cm fabric
(I used a thicker one, think it's canvas)
• Ribbon ~1m total

TADA! All the materials you need!
Apart from needle and thread.
Or sewing machine and pins too for quicker finish.

Instructions:

1. Cut out your 50x60cm fabric.

2. Fold the shorter edge in by 2cm.
Leave a 3cm gap at each end for later attachment.

2. For people who don't have the equipment which moves ribbons between long & close together gaps:

Twist your ribbon to make it smaller and place in middle of your folded edge.

3. Fold edge over and pin the ribbon in place,
so it doesn't get caught while you sew the edge over.

After sewing the edges that hold the ribbons, you can then attach the longer edge together ~
(from the back so it's invisible of course).

Then flip over and pull the ribbon tighter
VIOLA~! You get your double ended storage unit.

Perfect for placing new stuff in at the top.

Then you use the old stuff first at the bottom.

Then you can easily hang it in places where plastic bags are needed the most..

I should make one for all my neighbors, they are crazy hoarders. They need to learn to make their stuff prettier with DIY because they are really poor houso people >o> All I see when one man pulls open his window are stacks of cardboard boxes. Sometimes I hate my neighbourhood, lost count how many times a body has been found nearby. From drug overdose of course, not some murderous gangsta village here. ~ :D

LOL a friend who lives nearby recounted a funny time he walked past the creek.
(Which I assumed was the one on a newspaper about a dead body being found).

Some house was baking delicious smelling cookies as he was walking home. So he took a big breath while walking past the creek.. experiencing its maximum smelliness while at it. And made a rude comment on that family who just had to bake cookies nearby lol.

Au revoir~

  1. Our plastic bags are either flying everywhere in the house, or, plastic bags within plastic bag. This gives me an idea to use a pillow case instead of another plastic bag!
