Spirit of xmas.. SALES time!! *o*

Boxing day sales are when stores sell out the useless ugly items that no one wanted to buy, even for their in-laws in case of offending them. The best are the pre-christmas sales in December, when stores are gearing up for Christmas and trying to get new stock in by selling the current ones. So, to get lots of stuff while avoiding Christmas crowds and annoying sold out signs.. go PRE-xmas!!

But the best things are ones you can't buy in stores..

"Master the roundhouse kick like Chuck Norris *o* "
.
.
YES TIME FOR EBAY!

So this is a continuation of the
LYCEE (not lychee LOL) eye range.

I was transfixed by that advertisement, how amazing the bottle cap was in squirting and washing your eye and make it so sparkly ~~ ☆ ~ ☆

This is the 80ml one I bought, to try out first you know, in case it
burns.. *o*

Rohto Lycee eyewash cleansing lotion

The instructions were to squirt some of the solution into that cap. So tempted to say rubber cap but heard Americans have a weird definition..~_~ Then place over your eye and squeeze the end. Voila! It actually circulates the solution around your eye! Only if you put enough though. It felt like a vacuum too, sucking my eye into the cap lol. Solution wasn't like cool, arctic winds at all. But smells nice! Like roses this time.

I didn't bother wiping my mascara off properly so some residue was swimming around afterward.. ewww! So yeah don't do that. This isn't a super burning kind of refreshing but eyes definitely feel more refreshed than before. Guess it helps tired sore eyes before you go to bed and soothes for better sleep.

AS FOR SPARKLY EYES... think I detected a faint glimmer in my eyes =D
OH SO faint =(

This stuff is better than sissy normal eyedrops you get in corner store pharmacies. Water could probably make your eyes feel better..

Like boiled water but infinitely more expensive.

So in conclusion, this eye wash is best if you use it every night continuously because that's when it has the best effect, before going to sleep. Don't be stingy and fill it halfway or the liquid can't circulate properly in the cap. I tried squirting it directly into my eye from the cap to see if it felt any more refreshed.. it was pretty intense, but wastes more liquid and messy too =( .

Best refreshing feeling is putting it in the fridge beforehand!!

Overall, this item will not be bought again because I like the feeling of my eyes being burned by the lycee eye drops but leading to extremely refreshed eye. This is just a waste of time being messy and uses more liquid which means heavier postage. Not worth ebaying for unless you can drag yourself to some corner store and buy it for a good night sleep. The eye drops is more suited for making you stay awake for a late night cram session or movie marathon. While this is less harsh, therefore made for chicken people, yes, this is FOR YOU~~! :D

.
.
.

Anyway I lied about frequent updates, lots of drama happening in my life.. going undocumented. Like getting a NEW dog =o= Her name is Mello, short for marshmellow. I've been spelling marshmAllo wrong for 19 years lol, and won't bother correcting it. AND ANOTHER dog, called Lisa we need to look after for my sister's friend. She is a boxer, and we don't have a licence to keep her ;/

OMG got my results back.... Lol got worked up for NOTHING, that stupid mblg everyone thought they would fail in, well I did better than pass :) ...got cough yes, credit. But I still have to continue working hard part time =o=" Didn't qualify for scholarship =*( Gah so cut, again.

.
.
.

Still hate part time because I still didn't get a raise lol. It's better than bumming at home but 14 hours a day is extremely lousy when it comes to payout and how much energy and psychological trauma you put into it. I heard my supervisor had to see an orthopedic because she was hunching so much from doing counter. Also lifting heavy trays. OMG 14 hours a day, 3 days a week. I'm sure she was traumatized from hallucinating due to lack of sleep and tiredness lol. I was close to it.. Wow I talk so much about her, ok gotta find someone else to expose. The newest member to our team is kinda scary. She is older than me and even though I know more than her she seems to get angry when I tell her this is where you are suppose this and this item. And the way she stuffs the items into bags is kinda manic. Those are delicate items lol..

Anyway g2g sleep and work new years day too. I feel like such a loser with no friends to hang on new years. But one of my friends came over while on my 14 hour marathon and it totally brightened up that crappy workload. THANKS :)

Ciao baby ;)

Happy NEW YEAR btw :-D

Melbourne

Who goes there in Summer anyway =o= . Everyone who is cool enough goes to the Gold Coast.... Melbourne is just like Sydney but people are NICER for some reason... =/ Taxi drivers don't try to rip you off and people actually stop to give you directions! They also having higher chances of rain and way more classy Victorian architecture.

That's quite a murky lake they have...

WELL, there's classier people too, like 90% are dressed in suits on any weekday around CBD! The shopping wasn't as awesome as we thought and Asian restaurants only congregate in Chinatown. Whereas only sushi bars filled up the CBD and they usually aren't really value for money...

BUT not to be negative, in the 4 days we stayed in Melbourne, I accomplished visiting A LOT more tourist destinations than in Sydney...

Because travel posts are always extremely boring because it's like looking through someone's family album, I will only present the exciting and the worst of Melbourne ~ =D

.
.
.

Day 1 - too boring to show everyone. We just walked around the CBD and everyone was complaining how boring it was. My friends also crossed out all the museums on the itinerary I wrote. We had nothing left to do except check out GPO and Rialto tower. *Expensive...*

"Rialto tower, such a fine work of art!"

Day 2 -

Skydeck 88

I haven't even been to Centre Point Tower so this is an exciting NEW experience for me! In the morning it was boring though. I'm not acrophobic or altophobic or whatever so it wasn't very adrenaline inducing ...

"Ooo.. makes people below look so insignificant!"

I recommend you use the binoculars to spy through office building windows and see if the employees are doing anything suspicious... that was the high point of our visit.. LOL nothing perverted =o= .

The cube (entirely glass room including floor) was $10 extra and the front wall wasn't even see through. We can't even take in our cameras into the glass room, making it a very forgettable experience. Unless you want a professional photo with that crappy gray wall at the back. It usually was suppose to look like this:

When we visited, the back wall was grey >=(

Only a hundreth as awesome as this.

But DW! If you go night time, it's much more beautiful. The gated outside area was so windy, it felt like you were on a mountain top too!

.
.
.

NEXT!!

To the Aquarium ~ !!

This was actually fun! =D

The aquarium near the murky river.

I'm sure everyone's been to aquariums before unless you live under a rock like Patrick.. OR your parents were really stingy... But it's gonna be fun again if you've forgot heaps things back from childhood ~ :D

This penguin.. what a poser!

Anyway skipping a few, the cutest fish was:
This extremely hyperactive puffer fish.
It followed our fingers and kept on swimming towards us.
Reminded me of adorable, stupid Lilly.. ♡

Ugliest was...
This eel.. eww so slimy and wrinkly looking.

We came out only about 2.5 hours later and went to eat at a monkey bar. Thought it was a Japanese restaurant from the description but all they cooked were Chinese food lol.

Well the aquarium was worth visiting because they had lots on show, from angel to zebra fishes! They tried to make the displays interesting like adding haunting surround sound in the seals room. We learnt oysters were OK to fish because you can't actually fish them anyway and have to dive to capture them. While flatheads are NOT OK to fish... but they are delicious on bbq! =(

.
.
ANYWAY NEXT......

Crown complex =D !!

Lol another stolen professional image of this building!
I told you my camera is a piece of crap anyway..

Inside:
They had way more interesting, architecturally designed Christmas trees =D

What a crazy place! There were a lot of people gambling that night and made me feel so POOR! I only spent like $10 on the pokies BUT with combined team effort we won like $30.

But everyone wanted to keep on pressing so we ended up with $19 instead.. Then this guy appeared out of no where and asked us to sign up to the Crown members card. We get $5 FREE, like cold hard cash.. SO, of course we signed up. THEN we each used the $5 on pokies and lost it ALL LOL.

The pokies extended throughout the floor so you could walk for 5 minutes plus through a neverending streams of pokies. A lady shoved me out of the way to get to her favourite pokie machine. Haha, I heard in Star City they have auspiciously lucky car parking spaces too! But someone did a psychology report on scientific traits of people who consider themselves lucky. The only reasonable way of describing a lucky individual was someone who took RISKS.. !! =D

Watching the high rollers table was so exciting! Except for this guy who was on the blackjack $100 table... He played 5 games within like 2 minutes and lost $500! OMG my entire fortnights pay >o< ! When we were about to leave, the same guy who told us to sign up for their card appeared out of no where and asked how we were doing. HAHA, he must have been trying to sow the seeds of a gambling addict and gave us a $5 voucher for the table games. Anywho, one of us went and played on the $15 poker tables (lol lowest paying table) with the voucher and in like 3 minutes he lost all his money and quit.

So we got drinks to drown out losses instead.. =D Whisky is so disgusting! I bought mocktails instead and recommend the watermelon surprise =D . I think the surprise was a hint of chocolate. Mmmm...

We went back to SKYDECK 88 before this for night viewing!
It's a way better time to look down at the city from the 88th floor!!
Sadly my camera is the shittiest camera ever, (samsung is worthless!) so no photos to capture the beauty...... =(

Except this!!

.
.

Anyway that's the end of day 2.

Back at the hotel, we trained ourselves in blackjack and poker and bet on our arms and legs. I won EVERYTHING!! >=D But then lost it all the next night to Bili =( .. I'm sure we won't win against those dealers.. They have something about them that makes them SUPER lucky. One dealer got blackjack 3 TIMES in a row!!

.
.
.

Coming up!! A visit to the Japanese bath house~!!
And the zoo lol. Some of us were neglected children...

.
.
.

Life story so far! Lots to catch up on >=D ~

WELL after coming back I went to work the next day... Then we had the annual work party and went to eat at a seafood restaurant. OMG ate a humongous oyster!! Lobster too. I won $20 from the raffle!! The highest was $200 in which someone commented "I won't go to work tomorrow if I won it". Haha the bosses were funny stereotypical people too because they all had beautiful wife's except one boss who didn't bring his wife but his kid is so cuuute!

Anyway, it was awkward though because almost everyone was a FOB and didn't speak english =( . HAHA I haven't told everyone about this guy I mistook for who LOOKED LIKE YUKI in Perfect girl evolution !!

It took me a while to determine this guy at work is a GIRL LOLOL!!!!
I'm sure this lady will never find out I wrote about her because.. she's a fob =D .

.
.
.

Have to go sleep early! Working Christmas eve whole day!! Wahh 14 hours =( . Hope my bosses never find this page. Because I'm considering quitting. BUT after I find another job. Everyone is nice and stuff but OMG so tiring!! Last week it took me 2 VITAMIN PILLS to restore myself to my former glory! it must be killing my liver too.

Also feels like I'm not progressing with my future career by working in a food chain. They hire mainly FOBs whose english extends to sufficiently say "$5 total please". But at least I learnt in life how to endure 14 hour shifts. AND learnt from ex-supervisor who was super resourceful like findng empty vegetable oil drums and put a plastic bag over it to sit on. =D Feels like sitting on the sultan's throne after standing for 10 hours straight.

HOWEVER, this job is seriously stunting my above average intelligence and future prospects. Modest much! Anywho, research shows you do better in life if your aim is betterment of the world. While people who only think of money after they graduate do significantly worse during their course. SO, I don't want some job that has no significance in betterment of the world... Aged care felt that way too =/ ... Got to keep on looking~~ Meanwhile, have to find some way to liven up my current job =(

Play psychological mind games with the customers.. =D

People are more likely to believe you if they're distracted.
Gotta wear something sparkly to work...

Japanese film festival

At the end of November there was the 14th Japanese film festival which completely out-shadowed the Korean film festival. But a summary of almost all Korean movie plots can be found here:

Anyway we only wanted to watch one which was completely SOLD OUT... >=O From the director of Kamikaze Girl's and Memories of Matsuko, he made a new, extremely interesting, plot riddling movie. That expression was pretty shoddy but to sum up, better than Inception in retaining your attention. The storytelling was well mastered and most scenes were pretty intense. That movie was...
.
.
.

Confessions (2010)

How did we even get to watch this sold out movie?? LOL we put our names on the waiting list and waited from 2pm all the way till 9pm. It was that popular!! But the ticket lady saw us hanging around for an hour for extra seats and probably thought we were weirdos... But the media who were late and in the end didn't show up, freeing up some seats for us! But it cut off 10 minutes of the beginning >=( Still worth my $13!)

.
.
.

In between that time we watched Harry Potter which was GOOD too! Even though they ended up not doing much for most of the movie.

How they managed that and still retained our attention must have meant some weird hypnotism took place. Nah, this movie sure isn't meant for little kids anymore, it was much darker. Good for mature aged people who like mature aged themes and not some little kids movie.

.
.
.

Hehe and in between Harry Potter and Confessions, we went to a Korean BBQ down that dark alleyway... Delicious hot stuff~

This is the pork one and in such a large pot!

Way better than single meals which were already like $15
My bibimbap~ very bland without hot sauce which was not provided.
But the hot pot was already super spicy.

Our side dishes =)
Annoying friend's hand blocked the delicious kim-chi!! >=o

Our bottle of Korean alcohol ^_^
Better than whisky which tastes like shoe polish.. but still tastes like ethanol down your throat. We're lab partners btw and used to smell a lot of ethanol during practicals to get dizzy =D

We shared 1 bottle between all 4 of us and we became quite red faced. While the person at the next table had 3-4 bottles to himself and looked OH SO normal! He was hot too. Sigh, so many pretty FOBs hang around there =o=

.
.
.

BACK TO CONFESSIONS!

The summary in the guide book was uninteresting and expects you to have low standards. I was about to say "Let's go home!" not wanting to wait till 9pm for a boring sounding movie, even though I organised the whole thing xD . But in the end, so glad we stayed & didn't watch it pirated lolol!
. . .

Anyway this is the main theme: **** SPOILERS!!***

Students kill school teacher's daughter.

Students let off because they were minors and could not be convicted.
School teacher gets revenge.

But the revenge part is phrased in an uninteresting way: She undermines the situation to find out the real killers... like some typical detective movie. But it was actually a revenge movie.. They had a fair amount of black humour, not to the extent of gruesome but actually funny in a quirky, cute way like Kamikaze girls.

.
.
.

Some other interesting movies that won awards and totally deserved it include:

The Girl who leapt through time.
The events in between were quite typical of someone who could travel through time. But the ending made it heart-breakingly adorable =**(

***END SPOILER***

Another movie said to be good was "BOX!"

The volunteer told us it was good. And he was a friend of a friend so he must be telling the truth... It was 2 tickets for 1 though because there was a glitch which said only 50 tickets sold to everyone. SO everyone thought it was a crappy movie no one wanted to watch it. But it was actually a very motivating and well executed movie.

.
.

Another sold out movie was Shodo Girls.

But it sounded so corny. High schoolers in the calligraphy club trying to win a competition by performing in tune to music. And with some comedy/romance sandwiched in between... But the drama was supposedly really good.

.
.
.

Well that's all I had time for... Before launching into a tight workload. Anywho, I HATE tiger airways!! The advertised flight to Melbourne is like $20 but then it's +$30, +$10 +15 etc.. hidden weird fees like check-in and more ambiguous check in fees.. Which meant the final price was about $70 one way, almost 400% the advertised price .. >=( The reviews where terrible too! Seventy percent delays to their flights, comparable to cityrail!

. . .

So I decided to work lots and lots in case there isn't enough money for holidaying AND Summer school. Because I'm pretty close to failing one of my sciences =( GAHH I hope results never come out and dampen my happiness and ignorance while on holidays~~

Our supervisor quit today too =( She was such an interesting person though! But I'm sure I'll see her around, internet has let us all easily become stalkers. =D

Wahh there are mean customers sometimes at work! Like one lady who said she wanted a box and got angry when I gave her a smaller one. She was about to like, stamp her feet! >=o But a larger box wasn't going to fit in the largest plastic bag and she would have to hold it ^.~ So in the end she got the large box and awkwardly carried it away.

. . .

GOING TO MELBOURNE NEXT WEEK! Can't wait! Gonna hang around Crown complex and try to stalk mychonny xD ! Lolol well I saw community channel once on george street.

Hapi holios~

Au revoir~

Harajuku lovers

Gwen Stefani sure knows how to market out Harajuku culture almost forcefully into Western consumerism....

"You can't deny I look more fashionable anyway with such ridiculous clothes"

After her solo from No Doubt and many hit songs later she started the clothing line LAMB in 2003 with inspiration from Tokyo fashion. Later in 2005 the Harajuku Lovers line was released, focusing on the cuter side of Harajuku. Many, manu girls must have been sucked in by those adorable products... ^O^

Today this will be about the HARAJUKU LOVERS line which retails slightly more than LAMB. However Harajuku Lovers it is a bit more childish and may not suit most people. But the bags, shoes, stationary and other accessories are still so adorable!! Also for LAMB and the price it's worth, the quality should be higher. But HL is ok priced.

Snowbunnies collection

Cute and punk!

These bags retail about $40-70.
.
.
.

One of the most commonly known accessories of the Harajuku line are the perfumes.

Left to right:
LOVE , LiL' ANGEL , G , MUSIC , BABY .

From wiki lol:

Love ~ ♥ (Maya Chino)
Represents a nice, soft, caring person. Floral fragrance.

Lil' Angel (Jennifer Kita)
For someone who has always cared for others but is not a saint. It has floral notes but has a touch of fruity fun.

Baby ♡ (Mayuko Kitayama)
Innocent and exciting with floral and woody musk notes.

Music ♫ (Rino Naksaone-Razalan)
The strongest of the three fragrances, Music also has floral and fruity notes like Angel. But stronger and mysterious.

G (Gwen Stefani)
Floral/fruity scent, it has been described as "a modern and lively scent".

.
.
.

Pre-Christmas sales are the best. =D

I got SUNSHINE CUTIES (2009) MUSIC but in a tester bottle for only $25...!

100ml bottle of EDT spray.
Haha I thought it was the original Harajuku Lovers MUSIC but in bra & undies to make this seem more like a cheap tester bottle.

It's not like anyone will see the actual pretty bottle in my room, unless I just want to show it off in the blogosphere..
But it was so worth it for 100ml even in a boring tester bottle!
For $30 you only get 10ml with the nice bottle:

Original HL MUSIC.

.
.
.

For Sunshine Cuties Music, the notes are...

A sensuous floral Top: Juicy Pear, Granny Smith Apple, Dewy Freesia
Mid: Tiger Orchid, Jasmine Petals, Honeysuckle
Base: Cashmere Woods, Creamy Musk, Precious Woods Perfumer: pears

I don't know or care what that means & won't try to sound like a pompous perfume addict.
It is SWEEEET, for someone who is cute but DEMANDS presence. You know, those emo cute people. It isn't soft sweet but quite fruity. I can't get enough of that apple smell =D....
*delicious*
Someone said it's similar to the original granny smith DKNY.

.
.
.

That's it for TODAY...

BTW fragrancex.com is a sham.. a SHAM!
They state "we sell no fakes" but I got a very dodgy looking bottle.
The return address was in Hong Kong for some reason AND it took 3 months to get here!

. . .

Work is going to take up LOTS of time right now. I need to save up before heading to MELBOURNE! Yay, finally get to going outer state after all these 15 years of never traveling anywhere.. except Asia.

I calculated how much my supervisor worked and it went to FREAKING 60 hours per week! During our exam period I think she worked 70+ to make up for less people. She still gets classified as part-time casual even though full-time is already 35+ hours. Found out she was quitting today! GOOD for her seriously!! There is so much more potential out there for her. Working in an RSL has more than double our hourly rate... =( But excuses, , excuses. I just started anyway and the people are nice. I get free leftovers too and can't deny they make really nice food. Won't bother getting another job till I get access to the cd player lolol. Climb the ranks till I get to blast some jap rock >=D .

EDIT: I did get too lol and people were probably freaked out. As a joke on my ipod, I put Lilium (Elfen Lied opening) at the end thinking it will never get that far on the list before I remember to take my ipod out. Then it started playing and I was so embarrassed... the cooks were looking around because the atmosphere seemed to turn real emo like a funeral...

Au revoir!
