Time for Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere~

^ The castles on her dress jumped out of fairy tales ~ !

Most of the models used violins as props.
But that lady makes trumpet players look stylish =D

.

Kanon's new album "Shoujo Shikake no Libretto" is more upbeat than her first.
It's different in a good way because her cello still makes EXCELLENT music but this time much catchier!
Her hair is so long and shiny! I always had a paranoid thought when violin/cello players play a very demanding piece, they would get their hair caught between their bow and accidentally start a fire or cut it.

Ryutaro also makes an appearance =D
I am so jealous at his youthful looks! (He's already 37 ;o)

If you want to live the lolita lifestyle this magazine is for you! They have the best brands which is what lolita's strive for. You don't settle for second best and look as aristocratic and as classy as possible =D .
But if you don't want to make a bottomless hole in your purse, time for some DIY action!!
Unfortunately it's harder than it looks!
Patterns can be found in the back of magazines like Gothic Lolita bible but you have to be very good at maths to scale it to size or fit western body types. Also the material used it very expensive and the designs are generally hard to make.
This looks simple! =D

Vanilla_loli explained "If you have some basic sewing know-how, the dresses are too hard to make. If you don't know how to sew at all it may be more of a challenge of trial and error." Skirts less so.
Cost for each dress~
Again this answer is totally dependent on you and your tastes. If you are going to make a dress out of brocade type materials that could be very costly - with all the notions and materials probably some where in the vicinity of $100 or more. If you are going more basic cotton then somewhere around $40.
If you have never made the pattern before and aren't completely confident that you can manage it without any major snags considered purchasing un-dyed muslin fabric to make a "mock-up". Muslin fabric can be as little as 99 cents a yard and can often times be purchased for as little as $15 for the a complete bolt.
Days to make~
Depends on your sewing ability and the simplicity of the dress. I have a skirt pattern that makes a very cute Lolita skirt that takes about a half a day to make. My friend who created the pattern can complete the skirt in about 3 hours. She is a very accomplished seamstress. I can complete the skirt at the same quality, but I have to take a little extra time to ensure I am doing it right.
For a dress - expect to spend a few days on it or at least one whole day if it's rather simplistic. It's better to spend a few days on it, take some breaks in between and have a great dress rather than rush and end up with something you're not so proud of.
Where to buy pre-made dresses~
I have purchased from In the Starlight and have worked as a model for J-Chan Designs who will be featured in the August issue of Anicoz magazine. (In the starlight recently shut down).
If you are looking for something that looks more like Japanese brand but are willing to sacrifice some of the quality for a lower price may I suggest Anna House. The quality is actually good although the fabrics are a little thinner than couture.

That lady is so helpful! Anna Fashion house looks very professional and not as expensive but now you know why!

But still so detailed!

If you want designs for dresses, there were a few on the back of gothic lolita bible but it was in Japanese and you need to understand the instructions as it's very complicated. Meanwhile EGL tutorials has a jumpskirt design fairly easy to understand.
