It feels like the last 6 weeks of my holidays was all just a short fleeting dream. Reminds me of something like

INCEPTION!! Now that was a good movie =)
The beginning was so lame.... because I didn’t understand what was happening. No one ever mentioned that movie to me before so I came in only knowing the director was part of Dark Knight. Which was a super boring movie btw. Health Ledger was disturbing and all except the movie was so draggy and dull. =o=
The best part were the fighting scenes. There are spoilers but I won’t completely spoil the plot. The sidekick character reminded me of Jude Law in Sherlock Holmes!
This guy sure is working that Conduit cut suit.. =D
It made a pretty good amount in the cinemas. But it will never beat Harry Potter! >=o They reaped $15 BILLION from the franchise... Rowling must be rolling around in cash! Meanwhile, the 12 publishers who rejected her must be rolling around in agony! Sigh I love rags to riches tales. Too bad the rich are getting richer. So unfair...
Anyway back to INCEPTION. It was truly a great movie with no loose ends and a good finale which will start heaps of theories and cult groups for the movie. =D I started to like the idea of how people dream in layers BUT don't trust the movie! We have 5 stages of sleep and there is only 1 difference between the stages. One REM and four NON-REM. This may be tedious to read but it's interesting how science makes dreaming look insignificant. Well, read on for some psychology spewing...
REM is when you are a complete zombie. N-REM is where most sleep walking and talking takes place because we are paralysed in REM sleep. My friend's brother had a funny sleep walking incident. He got up in the middle of the night and took a shower... in his pajamas and went back to sleep.
This was the point I wanted to write about for a while. They did a truly shocking and mean (BUT FUNNY!) experiment on cats during REM. Do you know why we don't move even when we dream of vivid actions? Like not running in real life when being chased by the bogey monster.
This part of our brain releases chemicals which stop the motor functioning of our brains to emit any firing of the neurons. But these chemicals also touch the control center which sends the information to our visual interpretation of the brain.
SO we're just paralysed and our body becomes like a paraplegic during sleep but we still seem to see stuff while paralysed. These neuroscientists didn't know that yet and burned parts of a cats brain to see who was responsible for our dreams and lack of actions. They stuck a rod in which doesn't kill the cat and burnt some neurons in the medulla. This caused the motor part to stop being paralysed so we could move. As the cat slept, guess what it did?
"Must. Kill. All. Humans."
It jumped up doing everything they dreamed of.. with their eyes shut. =D

Anyway it's been easy going so far for this semester. Lots of time to sit back on the chairs in the library and daydream... ♥ I want to start doing beauty reviews cauz it's like the shitz right now. Since cool, trendy bloggers venture into that area, because they are such camera whores. >=D But I find them useful too ~.

Au revoir!
