I had been reading this book called fire and rain. The storyline consists of revenge plots after revenge plot, more drama and selfish idiots. I hate melodramatic plot lines that hold optimistic readers captive because they force us to keep on reading to get to the long awaited happy ending. But the stupidity of the characters always ruins it.

I will tell you what it's about anyway. =D In middle of the 20th century, a girl and her mother were kicked out of their homes to live in the poor, harsh scums of Taiwan. Her father had a new beautiful, younger wife and decided to dedicate his wealth to his second family. So Ping and her mother were thrown from a lavish lifestyle into dirty, commoner's scants and forced to beg for money from her father. Because they are like too weak or some shit to work for themselves... Anyway, one day a handsome man comes along and is targeted by the evil stepmother to become the trophy husband to her boring, ordinary daughter. However, Ping, the rip-off Asian Cinderella, also encounters this handsome, rich man. He finds her so much smarter than that Mills and Boon daughter because Ping has a brain and a hinted Caucasian nose. But the evil stepmother is intent on being a pain in the ass and decides to ruin Ping's chances as much as possible.

The rest you can work out what happens.... But it is actually more complex and long winded with all the repeated backstabbing, revenge and stupidity of Ping.

It should be thrown into the incense burner! Yay ghost festival coming up ^0^ . But it's also painful not to read >=o I want my happy ending!!
