Pikachu ♡

Going back to the place I bought the pikachu fabric reminded me of the time I made a costume for the year 12 video. Managing to waste time in the middle of the hsc makes me want to kick myself now. But re-assesing my life has already passed =o=

Anyway today these people who I bought the fabrics from were kinda creepy.
They smiled creepily =[ and laughed at me . . . maybe cause I was like an old lady buying fabric too poor to afford cool clothes... hmm that was it though 0.0

HAHA this was the first costume I ever made to cosplay. Maybe I will wear it one day to animania. But that would be embarrassing because then my friends will pretend they aren't with me =(

"Hmm I don't care!"
.
.

Anyway we got in trouble with the school for this...

Sorry Dev, ur face is super pretty that I don't want people to hunt us down. Lol =D
BTW we live in Mexico!
Hmm and I have a scowling face =(
Probably because box man took too long to get in the photo.
.
.

Left to right: Gypsy lady, cow girl, Hawaiian lady, evil scientist, pikachu.

You can't even tell it's edited yeh? ;)
This is Bili's exact expression too!

.
.
Anyway guess what I bought the green fabric for?

A stencil from cute dolls looks exactly like this! So I will make a mini version.

Merry Christmas

There's no snow but it rained here =D

This was 2 days ago when we had secret Santa. I was lazy and gave someone a gift card =/
BUT there was careful consideration on which giftcard!
But someone put effort into mine because they went all the way to kinokuniya to buy this!

WOW how did they know ^o^

Since it was all in Japanese this was the simplest one which looked nice & was easy to make:

But pink felt is hard to find around here.. I'll just use red, like my origami flowers:

Anyway I would like to thank them... since someone blocked the door wouldn't let her into the room to say hi... before leaving again. umm sorry.

.
.
Au revoir! ❤

Finished Projects

• Haru and Kana •

The brown one, Haru took quite long (2 days) but Kana I can make in half a day =D

I gave them to my mum for her birthday and she's going to put it in the car...
I don't think that's cool because her car has tinted windows, so no one will see my major efforts ☹

. . .

• Ralph •

See his leg. It's twisted >=[ Therefore he is named after the demented character of "the Simpson's". I gave this to my brother for his birthday =D
Stupid boy.. he gave it to my mum for her birthday and took credit.

Ice cream & crepe keychain

The previous ice cream is only there to look nice.. and improve your skills before moving on =D
So now I present inedible ice cream which has a use:
The key chain ice cream~

This looks old because it is. It was on my schoolbag for over a year
My cone is yellow not brown though. Because someone used up my brown to make their one lol.

The instructions and stencil is here:

(Should be printed in A5 or half an A4 page)

It is quite easy and you can interchange colour of your ice cream. Felt material was used.

The beads were small plastic, see-through types, but just put whatever you feel like on it...
I think the beads make it look more professional so pick nice ones =D and sew it without the string being seen too!

.
.
.

To continue on the ice cream key chain, here is a crepe key chain! But it look more like a bouquet of something.

I put too much of the round things at the top than necessary. But the top part looks really stuffed because I put stuffing underneath when it wasn't required. I couldn't close it so super glued the white felt to the yellow and closed it up that way ^.~

Here is the stencil:

Again it can be printed half of an A4 page.

Anyway, y crepe broke off my bag and I never used it again. If you like it enough I will give it to you ^_^

Making nice coffee..

Ages ago I went to a coffee course. It was enlightening O_O

You use the exact same ingredients. But the way you pour it make 6 different types of coffee =O And give them special names to make it seem less obvious.
This is the place I went to: www.thesydneycoffeeschool.com.au

There is only a maximum of 14 people but it's a small room anyway.

I learnt some awesome stuff =D You use Robusta beans to make instant coffee which has higher caffeine content. But arabica beans, used in cafes, have lower caffeine content but better taste.

My partner was a japanese guy named Nao ;) Looks mid 20's but not jrock material, ahaha.. He was intent on cleaning the bench 5 times though...

Unfortunately 8 cups of coffee I made and barely drank were poured down the drain.

But there are some photos to remind me of the delicious coffee =D

Cappuccino initially.. It tastes better than it looks =[

This one is Nao's. Much better than mine =[

Attempt at latte art. My one =[

Ice cream you can't eat =[ but looking good!

This is the blueberry version of the ice-cream. There was cherry and orange but purple is my favorite =D You can't find any of them left in morning glory stores in the city, because they only have the crapy ones left. Like the chocolate boxes which look like pieces of poo.

. . .

Anyway this is what you need:
1.Brown felt material (5 x 5cm is enough) and thread
for crackling and wafer biscuit(or apricot felt if you're bothered).
2.Dark (15 x 15cm) AND light purple(15 x 15cm) felt + thread
for blueberry and cream
3. Light green felt (5cm x 5)
for kiwi.
4. Plastic cup
5. Stuffing

.

Instructions: download to enlarge!

The stencils can be found here:

Click me!

As a guide for printing, the brown piece should be 12cm long.

Well, au revoir!

Designs

Last night, I tried searching for design stencils. Unfortunately, there were none that were cute enough or aesthetically approving >=[

So today I set out today to buy those designs in time for finishing before Christmas. Coming across a perfect book at Kinokuniya last week, I was too broke to afford it.Which was "Cute dolls" by Aransi Aronzo, by some picture book company. The instructions are all written in English and has really (REALLY) cute designs even if they are mainly japanese influenced. But now it is finally in my hands and it is truly a book I would recommend ^_^

Just look at their introduction!

"Hi, we're Aranzi Aronzo. This book teaches you how to make jersey-cloth mascots... they look directly at you with their big, round eyes. They listen quietly to everything you say (we think). They may even heal your spirit when you're feeling worn out... make them your best friend forever!"

Before that I also bought an ice cream DIY kit which I was working on. I would have started the book first but need to go spotlight to get the jersey cloth... I should be going to Cabramatta where I bought the Pikachu cloth but it's too far away..
.
.
.
Because of copyright, I will only show you my favourite. . .

How asian are those eyes. I wonder if he can even see.

You can download the stencil here:
(Please don't hotlink!)

All the toys you can make from this book:

The funniest is "Kidnapper". He is the tallest of all the dolls at 42cm in height! He holds a white bag all the time and likes to wear a tight black suit. It's so tight now that it has become stuck to his body. Also because his job is to kidnap kids ofcourse!
Don't think I'll ever make that one..

. . .

^ One I am working on now, my first ever doll ^o^
Hopefully the person I will give it to won't think it's a really bad attempt. I will put a lot effort into it ^o^

.
.

Something I was working on but got too boring...

I accidentally put in all the stuffing into the cone and didn't leave any for the berries on top. Now the cone is half open with stuffing hanging out. And the berries are the wrong colour because I was rushing >.>

. . . . . . . . . .

One of the DIY completions. More coming! Scans will be available when I'm not hungry.

This is a crepe. It hung on my school bag for a while before breaking off =[ Looks more like a bouquet of flowers though.

I was hoping someone can buy the "Cute things" book and scan me the pencil case stencil =D
OH please! I really want to make that one! It's only $23 at kinokuniya ;)

Ok! さようなら!
